Getting rid of black scars from acne

The first and most important element of clear skin is regular cleansing. Clean skin rarely is infected with acne and contributes to our general health. By washing the face at least twice a day with a gentle cleanser, you'll maintain healthy skin with good circulation and clear pores. Be careful about using astringents, however. By drying up too much oil in your skin, it will compensate by producing more and start a vicious cycle that will likely produce the acne you're trying so hard to avoid.
The best treatment for acne is preventative as well as pro-active. A good, regular cleansing routine will treat existing acne and prevent most outbreaks by keeping pores clear of dirt, grime and oils that clog them and cause acne infections. Astringents are also good cleansers but should be used with care. Because they dry up the oil on your face, you use them more sparingly than a good cleanser. If used too frequently, astringents can cause your skin to signal for more oil production and result in even oiler skin and more acne. One of the best astringents you can use is witch hazel. It's a natural plant-based substance and costs a fraction of commercially manufactured astringents.
Products that your dermatologist or doctor will recommend will only be available on prescription, they may include a course of antibiotics or topical ointments. Your dermatologist may suggest a minor surgical procedure to remove the contents of pustules. Never try to squeeze your zits as it can lead to permanent damage of your skin.
